Before these dividers, it was difficult to both protect our materials and maintain a safe learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen first introduced, some students were understandably confused by the change to a space they had known for years. However, in just 2-3 class periods, they adjusted to the new layout. Since then, both the paraprofessionals and I have noticed a clear improvement in attention and focus. With instruments and high-interest materials out of sight, students are able to remain engaged in instruction for longer periods of time. More importantly, no instruments have been broken since the dividers were installed! The increase in safety and structure has been significant. \r\n\r\nWe are now building clear routines within these defined spaces to promote greater independence during small-group instruction. The dividers are not just barriers - they are tools allowing us to teach regulation, responsibility, and safe skills. \r\n\r\nThank you for believing in inclusive education and for helping us create a safe space where all learners can thrive!!","fullyFundedDate":1767983778372,"projectUrl":"project/safe-spaces-for-sound-learning-and-gro/9985494/","projectTitle":"Safe Spaces for Sound, Learning, and Growth","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Boese","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3507164_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767792327250","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msboese"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29844","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":409,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":20,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.2,"schoolId":29844,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Spring Trail Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Spring Trail Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/elgin-school-district-u-46/spring-trail-elementary-school/29844"}
