The addition of these eight graphing calculators has transformed the way my students learn and understand math concepts. In my Algebra II class, students are now able to graph functions, find intersections, and create various types of graphs with confidence. They are excited to see their data come to life visually, which deepens their understanding of complex topics. In Algebra I, students have used the calculators to learn how to determine the 5-number summary of box plots, including calculating the minimum, quartiles, median, and maximum. They are also exploring how to find standard deviation and mean, making these abstract concepts more concrete. My statistics students have learned to compute variance, probability distributions, and the probability of binomial experiments, all with the help of these tools. Even my Pre-calculus students are using the calculators to review material and graph linear and quadratic regressions, discovering how to interpret the data through tables. \r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the ability to visualize their data and see real-time results, which makes math engaging and meaningful. I have students who have particularly warmed to this technology, especially those who previously struggled with understanding concepts through traditional methods. The calculators have helped them build confidence and develop a deeper interest in mathematics. \r\n\r\nOut of nearly one hundred students I see each day, only one had a graphing calculator before this. Your donation has truly made a monumental impact, allowing my students to learn at their full potential. Thank you for investing in their futures and empowering them to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1764554126035,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-advanced-mathematics/9560149/","projectTitle":"Exploring Advanced Mathematics","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wright","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5984239_orig.jpg?crop=558,558,x295,y115&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1554904113472","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mwright6th"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28688","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":355,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":95,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":62.2,"schoolId":28688,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Greene Junior Senior High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"North Greene Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/north-greene-unit-district-3/north-greene-high-school/28688"}
