Having the snacks available in the classroom to pass out to students as-needed has been a blessing to both myself and the students. Our unit math test happened to be during our daily snack time within my 6th grade classroom. On the day of the test, I was able to pass out snacks to each and every one of my students. This allowed my students to be able to focus on the test, and not the fact that they were hungry and may not have had a snack. \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see the variety of snacks they had to choose from. I had a couple students who have never been able to try some of the snacks that were available. This was exciting for these students, and they really did enjoy getting to try those foods. \r\n\r\nHaving the variety of snacks available is something that I am very thankful for. It is very hard for a student to focus on learning when he or she is hungry. Due to different circumstances out of the student's control, he or she may not always have the ability to bring a snack to school. With the donated snacks, I am able to make sure that my students get their needs met.","fullyFundedDate":1732135865309,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-for-6th-graders-in-the-classroom/8614523/","projectTitle":"Snacks for 6th Graders in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mitchell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9500270"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56886","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":336,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":34,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":94,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":56886,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jefferson County North El Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Jefferson County North El Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/jefferson-co-north-usd-339/jefferson-co-elementary-middle-school/56886"}
