These kids face many challenges on a daily basis. First, I would like to give a huge thank you to Donorschoose and their amazing donors! Everything you have helped provide in my classroom and so many others makes the biggest difference. Not only for the students but for teachers and teacher assistants as well. I would love to share a few ways Donorschoose is such a huge asset every school year.\r\n\r\nThe items I have been provided help with every type of different learning style. Whether it be visual, auditory, reading/writing or kinesthetic, this program allows me to look at how my students learn and then add things to the classroom to help further their educational success. With the General Education population or the Special education population, it's always nice to have access to materials that cater to different learning styles.\r\n\r\nAnother wonderful thing about Donorschoose and its awesome donors is I am able to pick items that really come in handy for my classroom and students. From hygienic items, to sensory items and everything in between, I am able to stock up and ensure these children are getting the top notch learning environment they deserve.\r\n\r\nTo mention a few specific items, I would like to talk about the emotions characters. This has helped students who are not able to verbally express how they feel. It is also an amazing deescalation tool when needed. Another great item I received were the sorting mats! We have several grade levels in our classroom and these allowed me to help strengthen the students' math skills. They are friendly for all ages and learning the basic components of math, which is something most of my students are constantly working on.\r\n\r\nOverall, its programs like Donorschoose and amazing people like you that really make a difference and impact in the classroom! The kids lit up when I received every item. They were very eager to see what new tool or resource we would be adding to our everyday learning and so was I.","fullyFundedDate":1764108161874,"projectUrl":"project/see-the-able-not-the-label/9548835/","projectTitle":"See the Able not the Label","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Michelle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10049242"},{"teacherId":10055036,"projectId":9410294,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom library project. Because of you, my students now have an amazing selection of new books to choose from, and they couldn't be more excited! They love checking out the books and reading them during independent reading time, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm for reading grow.\r\nHaving access to such a wide variety of books allows every student to find something that interests them and supports their reading level. These books are already making a meaningful impact by encouraging a love of reading, building confidence, and helping students develop strong literacy skills.\r\nWe are truly grateful for your kindness and support. The look on my students' faces- when they saw our new classroom look- was priceless!! We went over expectations and when it is necessary to use the calm down corner. They are very respectful and gentle with the new items! One student has needed to use it. He was getting stressed out, he set the timer for 5 minutes and just cooled off in the corner, using the fidget toys. Once the minutes were up, he walked back to his seat. \r\n\r\nThe seat cushions came in handy for when I have extra students in my classroom during reading RTI and when they can work around the room! \r\n\r\nThank you all, again, for giving my students a safe space in our classroom to regulate emotions.","fullyFundedDate":1748912560962,"projectUrl":"project/calm-down-corner/9391413/","projectTitle":"Calm Down Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lindhurst","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10048559_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748889275524","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10048559"},{"teacherId":9883229,"projectId":9019506,"letterContent":"On behalf of the Dry Ridge Elementary Archery Team, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations that provided our team with bow cases and arrow tubes. Your support has made a tremendous impact on our athletes and their overall experience in the sport.\r\nThanks to your contributions, our archers can now focus on their performance during tournaments rather than the logistical challenges of transporting equipment from the parking lot to the range. The bow cases and arrow tubes have given our students the ability to safely carry and store their equipment, allowing them to take their bows home for extra practice. This has been a game-changer for our team, providing them with the resources needed to improve their skills and dedication to the sport.\r\nSince the beginning of the season, our team has grown by over 900 points! With our continued hard work and the support we have received, we have qualified for the State Tournament and the Eastern National Tournament in May. We are setting our sights even higher, hoping to qualify for the National Tournament in June.\r\nYour generosity has played a direct role in our success, and we cannot thank you enough for believing in our students and their potential.
