My students were beyond excited to see all of the chapter books that you donated. We started reading Stella Diaz Has Something To Say. They were hooked from the start. The kids learned some Spanish while reading this chapter book. Some of my Spanish speaking students helped me pronounce the words, which made them feel even more connected to the story. We had great discussions while reading it. Even the shy kids started to participate. When we finished our book study, they said this was their favorite book that we have read all year. \r\n\r\nI let my third graders browse the other selections and vote on the next read. Some kids that didn't particularly like to read before were so motivated to read the next chapter book. Your donation will be passed on to many kids for many years.
