While we are fortunate to have a Boxlight Smart Board in our classroom, the addition of the easel has been an incredible complement to our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe easel has quickly become a valuable tool for brainstorming, collaborative learning, and creating anchor charts that support and reinforce student understanding. It allows us to display these charts as ongoing reference tools, which has already made a meaningful impact. For example, we used the easel to create anchor charts on classifying polygons and to build a KWL chart during our Jazz Literacy Research Unit — both of which sparked great engagement and discussion among students.\r\n\r\nOur students get excited every time we bring out the easel. It creates a shared learning space where they can gather on the rug, contribute their ideas, and learn from one another in a collaborative setting.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your thoughtful support. Your contribution is truly making a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1743344151025,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-easel/9190187/","projectTitle":"Classroom Easel","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Slocum","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2535129_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727041511373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2535129"},{"teacherId":8895837,"projectId":9084999,"letterContent":"I would like to express my gratitude to you for funding my projects. My English Multi-lingual Learners (EMLs) have greatly benefited from your gift and have been able to access our curriculum more easily.\r\n\r\nThis year, the county I work for adopted a new highly-demanding reading/language art curriculum. There is a separate English Language Development component, which has helped break down the texts into more mangeable parts, however, both this adjunct curriculum and the mainstream E/LA curriculum lack the resources for meaningful vocabulary learning. With your gift I was able to buy colorful, vivid vocabulary cards which included not only the definition of each new word but an original photograph matching the description as well. In the curriculum provided there are glossaries at the back of each unit but no visuals. Visual aids help students understand and retain information. Many of my students are level 1 beginning language learners and are just learning to read English. These well-made, beautiful vocabulary cards support student learning by firmly placing the image in their memory.","fullyFundedDate":1738167123646,"projectUrl":"project/english-learners-can-access-the-curricul/9084999/","projectTitle":"English Learners Can Access the Curriculum!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Metoyer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8895837"},{"teacherId":5786751,"projectId":9068980,"letterContent":"I wanted to write to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. I work with third grade English Language Learners. They are a great group of kids who put in so much effort everyday to keep up with the rigorous curriculum in the county. \r\n\r\nThis year we started a new Language Arts curriculum that is especially challenging. My students were falling behind and I needed to create scaffolds for them to be able to access the new learnings and also see some success on assessments. I was spending so much time creating new materials for them to use each day. I found some excellent materials on the Teachers Pay Teachers website, but it was so expensive to purchase all of it myself. This is where you came in! Because of your generosity I was able to purchase all of the materials I had wanted on Teachers Pay Teachers and my students are doing great! They have mentioned that they are understanding the curriculum better and we are seeing them participate in class discussions more. I am so thankful for people like you who are willing to help students that they don't even know! We are very lucky!","fullyFundedDate":1738074034607,"projectUrl":"project/making-our-curriculum-more-accessible-to/9068980/","projectTitle":"Making Our Curriculum More Accessible to English Language Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5786751_orig.png?crop=296,296,x0,y66&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737564287470","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5786751"},{"teacherId":2535129,"projectId":8855871,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my Eureka Math Curriculum Project. With the money donated, I have been able to organize my Math Manipulatives as well as organize my student materials that we use daily.\r\n\r\nSince we have collaborative table groups, my students do not have a specific desk area to store their Math Consumables. These bins are stored away on a bookshelf that house their materials that they use every day. I had other bins, but they were flimsy and fell over all the time, leaving their workbooks, dry erase markers, and erasers splaying all over the floor. We spent precious instructional time picking up the bins or trying to find materials. Since these new bins, students are excited to use the stabilizers on bottom, allowing students to focus on their lesson as opposed to finding their materials or being distracted when one or two or more would fall over. \r\n\r\nAnother appreciation is the rolling cart organizer. We have a lot of manipulatives that supplement our lessons. Usually they are stuffed in the Eureka Bin or stacked on a bookshelf, making it difficult to grab materials for the day. Now that the materials are organized, even student helpers can grab and assemble the materials needed for their groups. It keeps our learning space organized and functional for learning.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your donation and generosity. It has made a tremendous impact on our classroom environment and student learning that will continue on for each of my students year after year.","fullyFundedDate":1733263052130,"projectUrl":"project/eureka-math-organization-of-materials/8855871/","projectTitle":"Eureka Math Organization of Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Slocum","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2535129_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727041511373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2535129"},{"teacherId":3784283,"projectId":5037340,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation to our special education classroom.
