This was the first big project we did this school year so it was a really big deal for them. The students loved being able to work with their hands and learn more about the solar system. They took the project really seriously, doing research on each planet to make sure their model was accurate and measuring the distance between the plants as precisely as possible on a scale. This was the first time I saw all students engaged in a lesson for an entire class period.
