The students have enjoyed using all the new art supplies, especially the Oil Pastels, Paint Brushes, and Paint Stix.\r\n\r\nMany of my students have never really had an art class and haven't painted before. After learning basic painting techniques and how to use the new brushes properly, they have been so excited to paint most weeks. One of the students' favorite projects have been a Starry Night inspired pumpkin scene. They used the paint stix for the Van Gogh inspired background, and paint and oil pastels for their pumpkins.\r\n\r\nRecently, classes have been working on a variety of snowmen. Older students have been creating value scale snowmen, while younger students have been painting snowman close-ups. We also used the Paint Stix to draw snowmen and penguins to decorate for our school holiday event and concert. I have gotten so many compliments on how great all the artwork looks.\r\n\r\nThanks again for helping boost my students' creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1758812432872,"projectUrl":"project/creativity-class-blending-art-and-lite/9723013/","projectTitle":"Creativity Class - Blending Art and Literature","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. George","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5616547_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533319206336","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rebecca-george"},{"teacherId":2446635,"projectId":8875207,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for the generous donations that provided us with play-based learning materials like the cash register, play food, and barbershop tools! These resources have made such a difference during indoor recess and Fun Friday.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement! They immediately jumped into imaginative play—setting up their own restaurants, running a pretend barbershop, and taking turns as customers and cashiers. It was amazing to see them collaborating, problem-solving, and using language skills in such a natural and engaging way.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching a group of students set up a full-service \"restaurant.\" They assigned roles, created a menu, and even practiced adding up \"bills\" on the cash register. They immediately began creating bridges, towers, and imaginative structures, working together to problem-solve and test their ideas. It's been amazing to see their fine motor skills, creativity, and teamwork flourish through hands-on exploration.\r\n\r\nThe Word Pop CVC game has also been a hit!
