These simple but meaningful additions have completely transformed our recess time into an engaging, inclusive, and joyful experience for all students.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment has encouraged students to be more active, cooperative, and creative during recess. We have seen children who previously struggled to find a place to belong now confidently joining games, practicing teamwork, and developing important social skills. The variety of options allows every child to choose activities that match their interests and abilities, promoting both physical movement and positive peer interactions.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting impact on our students' well being, confidence, and happiness at school. The materials have helped my students build positive emotional intelligence. At the beginning of the year, we read Alma and the Worry Stone to calm our worries about the beginning of the new school year and being in a new grade. After reading and discussing the book, students created worry stones to help them through the first weeks of school and beyond.\r\nThe books, We Don't Eat Our Classmates and We Will Rock Our Classmates started great discussions of feelings and how to show empathy towards our classmates. The claw machine and fidgets have allowed me to reward my students for showing positive social emotional intelligence or give students an outlet when they are frustrated, sad, or scared. I will continue the use the Creative SEL book and Super Skills game to teach my students how to be socially/emotionally intelligent throughout the year and work together.\r\nThank you again to our wonderful donors!
