These classroom have been exciting for both me and my students!\r\n\r\nI begin our Media Maker special for every class, young 5's through 5th grade, on the new rug you funded. During this time I give students library updates on our new books and I read a picture book to each class that aligns with our focus and standard of the week. Our last rug was dated, worn and dirty. This new rug brightens our space and allows me to better manage student behavior with the colored squares. I have students who choose to spend the remainder of our special reading quietly. Our beanbags have been amazing additions for comfortable and fun spaces for children to read and explore stories. This is an empowering time where students get to choose what they read, which is often not as much of an option in classrooms anymore. I also display books aligning to our curriculum standards in the book display shelf you funded. This aligns with our standards in promoting students to make text to text connections at all grade levels! \r\n\r\nTruly, I am so grateful for the impact you have made on student learning with the new materials you have donated!","fullyFundedDate":1747594468779,"projectUrl":"project/media-maker-library-refresh/9364645/","projectTitle":"Media Maker Library Refresh","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Heneveld","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9795716_orig.jpg?crop=2121,2121,x15,y120&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747516351076","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9795716"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_72503","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":261,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":56,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":72503,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/zeeland-public-schools/roosevelt-elementary-school/72503"}
