The students had mixed feelings, eager for the new package and some reluctance when they realized it would amount to reading and homework. Nonetheless, learning about Abraham Lincoln has been an incredible experience for us all! Beyond having his face on the penny, Abraham Lincoln persevered through an incredibly turbulent time in the history of the United States!\r\n\r\n Ironically, as I write this letter, Minnesota is passing through a difficult time. Thousands of ICE agents have flooded our state causing my students and our immigrant community to feel fearful and unsafe. I am really going to miss the unique bond each class has made in our time together.\r\n\r\nThis Donors Choose project was full of fun goodies such as a \"thumbs up stamp\", a smiley face stamp, waterproof water bottle stickers, flair pens and mechanical pencils.
