When the final bell rings, my students are heading off to a wide variety \r\nof responsibilities, whether it be for athletes heading to grueling practices and games, student employees clocking into shifts at local businesses, club leaders staying late to \r\nbuild community, or just commuters facing a long, multi-transfer city bus ride home.\r\n\r\nIt is a small thing, but when a teen asks if I have a snack, being able to offer a granola \r\nbar, a bag of popcorn, or a fruit snack makes a massive difference in their morale and energy levels. It tells them that their community cares about their well-being and recognizes how hard they work both inside and outside the classroom.\r\n\r\nOne student recently told me that having a snack before their shift at work made them \r\nfeel \"actually ready to go,\" rather than just exhausted. Your contributions toward providing dry storage and \r\nfilament dryers for our PLA inventory will have an immediate and lasting impact on our high school library's makerspace.\r\n\r\nIn a school setting, 3D printing is often a race against the clock. Nothing is more \r\ndiscouraging for a student than spending hours designing a complex prototype, only for \r\nthe print to fail because the filament absorbed too much ambient humidity. Worse yet, is \r\nwhen the printer begins printing and then halts mid-print because a tiny piece of filament broke off somewhere between the spool and the nozzle. The introduction to the chakra crystal singing bowls in my curriculum has been a refreshing experience for the students, opening their eyes—and ears—to an entirely new dimension of self-care. Since this was all brand new information for them, it was great to see their curiosity take over as they explored the different chakras. They really enjoyed getting to make the sounds themselves, and it gave them a hands-on way to understand how sound and energy work together. It wasn't just a lesson; it was a totally new way for them to think about their bodies and how they process the world around them.\r\n\r\nThe best part was seeing how much it helped them relax. Most of the students mentioned feeling a real sense of calm during the sessions, and they walked away with a new tool for handling stress that they didn't have before. Some kids even took videos of the bowls to show their parents at home because they were so excited about what they were learning. It's been wonderful to see them shift their perspective and start thinking about sound as a way to take care of themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1767306592104,"projectUrl":"project/learning-about-our-chakra-for-stress-man/9928033/","projectTitle":"Learning About Our Chakra for Stress Management","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Peterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4634457_orig.jpg?crop=1114,1114,x0,y155&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765127432275","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4634457"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_76094","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1034,"numTeachers":79,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":29,"percentBlack":32,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.6,"schoolId":76094,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Como Park Senior High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Como Park Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/saint-paul-public-schools/como-park-senior-high-school/76094"}
