Some students who often shut down during complex problems now confidently picks up a calculator and begins working step-by-step. These calculators are supporting both struggling learners and advanced thinkers alike.\r\n\r\nMy students will continue using the calculators for some geometric and algebraic problems for them to solve it accurately. Students learned about the traditional colors—purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power and then designed their own masks with a written explanation of their choices. Watching them plan, create, and proudly share their finished masks was such a special moment. We even held a small classroom \"parade\" where students shared what they learned and celebrated together.\r\n\r\nNext, we're continuing our learning with a cross-curricular project. Students will locate Louisiana on the map, explore the cultural influences that shaped Mardi Gras, and write informational pieces or travel brochures about the celebration.
