As you know, we had none in our inventory, so we used to not be able to provide a true learning experience for students who wanted to play the french horn. So far, we have been able to use the horns in our Jazz band, Beginning Band, 7th-grade band, and Varsity band! While some students have their own horn, the horns that were donated are being shared across these bands (while using their own, different mouthpieces for sanitation), and has helped these students grow their skills.\r\n\r\nWe would not have been able to give our students these opportunities for at least another few years, considering how much it would have cost our program for even one of these horns. We are very blessed by your generosity to help us succeed! Below are some of our students' input on having these new horns: \r\n\r\n-Thank you!!!!! I have been playing french horn in jazz blue, and I switched from trumpet. Because of the new horns, I can play on the best instrument ever!\r\n-I am so glad to have the new french horns because there have been some times when I forgot my instrument or the horn I use is being repaired in the shop and I can use the new ones. The new horns are also much shinier and better than the old ones we have.\r\n-I am in beginning band and have been using a different type of horn (single horn), so when we got the new horns I switched to that. It's heavier, but different in a good way. I'm happy to use that horn instead, so thank you very much for getting it for me!\r\n\r\nThank you again so much, from the bottom of my heart. I have been playing the horn for over 15 years now, and one of the biggest challenges is just being able to get ahold of a horn, and the ones you provided for us will last us for many, many years and help many students.","fullyFundedDate":1759891943640,"projectUrl":"project/double-horns-for-proper-playing/9595441/","projectTitle":"Double Horns for Proper Playing!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Turney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9005685"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77245","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":687,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":22,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.2,"schoolId":77245,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Seckman Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Seckman Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/fox-school-district-c6/seckman-middle-school/77245"}
