We have had so much fun over the past few weeks tumbling rocks. My students learned about how to tell what kind of rock they are looking at, and have been able to bring in their own rocks to tumble. We just finished our first round of rocks and will be starting a new cycle soon! The students we're really interested in the changes in shape and size after weeks of tumbling. One feature that I really like about this rock tumbler is that it provides white noise in the classroom. The students seem to focus and calm down quicker when it's running.
