Snack time provides opportunities for students to practice communication, such as requesting items, waiting their turn, and interacting with peers. One special moment was seeing students eagerly help pass out snacks to their classmates, showing responsibility, cooperation, and pride in being helpers. When the box first arrived, the students were so excited. Their faces lit up as we opened it together, and many immediately began naming the snacks and sharing their favorites. It was a joyful moment that encouraged language, social interaction, and a strong sense of excitement.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using snack time to support independence and social-emotional growth by encouraging students to make choices, follow routines, and clean up after themselves. We are also connecting this experience to lessons on healthy habits, classroom expectations, and positive peer interactions. These everyday moments help strengthen communication, self-help skills, and social development as students continue building skills that will support their transition to kindergarten.","fullyFundedDate":1766153088446,"projectUrl":"project/snacktime-smiles-for-pre-k/9950277/","projectTitle":"Snacktime Smiles for Pre-K","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rania","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9545897"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_79070","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":230,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"6.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":79070,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kellom Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Kellom Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nebraska/omaha-public-schools/kellom-elementary-school/79070"}
