It feels good to share with the students and not be worried about having enough supplies for the next day. The students were stunned to see so may pencils at once and we did an estimation station. They couldn't believe there were 5000 pencils in the box. I have been passing them out to both of my classes and my after school class. The snacks are available to anyone who asks when they are hungry and not feeling well and we use the wipes to clean everyday. This allowed students to test their creativity and ideas. They also were able to be hands on and seeing their work first hand. They also were able to use the items they created and worked on.\r\nDiscussing the results of this task opened up interest and the students didn't think they would participate as they eventually did. Some beforehand thought there was a gender attached to ironing and cutting out decals and vinyl.
