My students have always been jealous of and wowed by the erasable pens I use when helping them with their writing. When I showed them the packs of pens and told them that they were theirs to keep, they lost it. They were amazed by the science behind how it all worked. They would create friction with the pen's eraser and put it to their skin to see if they could feel the heat. Our class starts every morning with affirmations while taking attendance, so they were extremely excited after they discovered their new whiteboard erasers during phonics. \r\n\r\nWhile some people might not realize how such a \"small\" gift could make a huge difference, it has been amazing to see how much the engagement has changed in my class. I usually have a handful of students who are not as prepared and forget to take out their highlighter or bring their pencil to the small group table, but after receiving these items, I have not seen one student not be prepared for our lessons, yet. Even students who usually need ample supervision to work on assignments have participated more just so they can use their pens. Students who tend to fray from highlighting answers or annotating before going over the correct answers have started to grow past their fear of getting something wrong since they know they can easily fix their mistakes. Thank you for fostering their growth mindset.","fullyFundedDate":1768746668113,"projectUrl":"project/small-supplies-big-futures/10035798/","projectTitle":"Small Supplies, Big Futures","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chao","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9368002"},{"teacherId":2909718,"projectId":10040965,"letterContent":"My class would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating and supporting our classroom. Your generous donations of materials will have a huge impact on our learning and classroom environment. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for you helping us receive these necessary resources! \r\n\r\nThe kindergarteners were so excited to hear the news that we would be receiving new seat pockets, pencil bins, and white boards to replace our 10 year old ones that were falling apart and we were making do with. They were even more overjoyed to learn that we received a box of bulk markers with lots of pretty colors that they can use for their illustrations and art projects that we do. They also loved being able to hang their coats on the two coats racks instead of throwing them into a big bin. All of the materials were put right to use in our classroom. \r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, our classroom will stay nice and organized with our new seat pockets, pencil bins, and coat racks. And the kindergarteners will be more engaged in their learning being able to use white boards and colorful markers to practice writing letters, numbers, and sentences.","fullyFundedDate":1768782329905,"projectUrl":"project/help-keep-us-organized/10040965/","projectTitle":"Help Keep Us Organized!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gilroy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2909718_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768778062164","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missgilroykinderkids"},{"teacherId":8157839,"projectId":9849433,"letterContent":"The donated headphones have had an immediate and meaningful impact on our school. They would be so excited when we would receive new materials and equipment, and seemed amazed that people would donate items out of the kindness of their hearts so we could have a program.\r\n\r\nI have focused on teaching the students basic golf fundamentals (chipping, putting, driving) in a fun and game-based environment.
