As a teacher, a lot of classroom supplies must come out of our own pockets. I am teaching 100 students English Language Arts. Students must write, see the boards, and use their Chromebooks in order to complete assignments. The lighting can be very harsh, which is why I asked for fluorescent light covers to reduce the brightness. I also have students that cannot have the bright lights due to medical conditions. I also have students that get overstimulated easily and need a calming environment to complete work, which is why I requested the additional relaxation lights and board lights for the classroom. The new lighting will impact the classroom environment. My students now have an ideal environment to learn and grow.\r\n\r\nThe first day my students walked into our classroom, I could see smiles and a relaxed mood. They were pointing around the room at all of the different lights. The mood the students start the day with highly impacts the learning that will take place.
