I can customize these to the skills that my students need to work on. My art students absolutely live using sharpies to add that extra pizzazz to their artwork. We used these markets for our first projects of the school year. Our projects were in preparation for Hispanic Heritage Month and our celebration in October. The third through eight grade classes began with creating one of kind works based on our studies of Vejigante Masks from Puerto Rican folklore. The third, fourth, and fifth graders made two dimensional masks and created various patterns to embellish their masks. While the middle school artists designed three dimensional masks incorporating various patterns and symmetry. This study was fully of fun learning about a different culture and an opportunity to be open to creating.
