When I first told my students about the Snack Attack closet, they were in shock. In the beginning, they would come up quietly and ask if they could grab something. As they felt more comfortable with the idea they could help themselves, they would just get up and walk to the cabinet whenever it was needed.\r\n\r\nStudents were able to help themselves when they needed a snack throughout the class period, as well as throughout the day. They were excited to see the variety of things to pick from. Whether it was just for a quick snack throughout the day or something to hold them over until dinner once they left, they were very appreciative. \r\n\r\nThey, as well as I, truly appreciate the thoughtfulness behind your donations. For the kids to not have to worry about having a snack or to know they will always have something here means the world.
