The mirrors have become an essential tool as students learn how to form sounds correctly—being able to actually *see* their mouth positions has helped them make immediate, confident adjustments. One of my favorite moments was watching a student light up when he realized he could isolate a tricky sound simply by noticing where his tongue was placed in the mirror. That sense of pride was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nThe new bookshelf has allowed us to organize our decodable texts and instructional tools in a way that makes students feel ownership over their reading space. The softer lighting from the classroom lamp has also created a calmer, more focused environment, especially for students who can become easily overstimulated. And the noise-cancelling headphones have been a tremendous support during independent practice, giving students a quiet zone to concentrate on decoding and reading fluently.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, the excitement was immediate—especially for the mirrors and the headphones. They were eager to explore, and their curiosity turned into joyful, engaged learning within minutes.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students. They have really enjoyed the honeybee stones to practice number identification. They have also liked using the magnetic letters and pictures to learn and practice with identifying letters by name and sound, and also rhyming and other phonemic awareness skills. The most exciting center has been the Ice Cream Scoop center. they also like the football fidget spinners. We have used this for social-emotional learning. and we have used it to learn our numbers. i can't wait to break out the silly putty very soon! One standout moment was during our reading fluency practice when students used the stopwatches to time themselves reading for one-minute intervals. They were so engaged and motivated to track their progress, challenging themselves to improve with each round. It was incredible to see their confidence grow as they recognized their improvements in fluency!\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen students first discovered our new supplies, the excitement was undeniable! They couldn't wait to try them out. Some students who struggle with noise sensitivity immediately put on the headphones and sighed with relief, finally able to focus without distractions. Others eagerly grabbed stopwatches, excited to take control of their reading practice. Students want to specifically that you for the money for snacks. They took a survey of their favorite snacks, and results are in!\r\nThe students say that their favorite snacks are the PopCorners Popped Corn chips. There are mixed reviews about who likes the cinnamon flavored, and who likes the kettle corn. They work hard, and were able to supply energy to their brains with these healthy snacks. Some students also want to thank you for the crunchy Cheez-Its. I have one student who wants to say thank you specifically for the pizza flavored Pringles chips.\r\nWe are also able to use the new craft supplies for so many projects -- markers and watercolor paper, and cute magical gemstones have made Fun Fridays extra creative, and ways to further improve OT skills. We made bookmarks out of watercolor paper and gemstones. We will use these new book marks during our next small reading groups!\r\nWe cannot wait to explore our favorite read aloud for February Black History Month \"The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.\" Such an amazing empowering story for students of all ages. I have attached a photo of this book in my classroom. We will be using the book again to explore the theme of resilience, overcoming adversity, real-world problem solving at any age! We also learn about this amazing author and illustrator through videos and small group discussions.\r\nMany of the older students have enjoyed reading the newest Dogman book : Scarlet Shredder. We can't wait to get the next in the series #13 Big Jim Begins. Students also have loved the Bird & Squirrel series, which is highly engaging for third graders.
