Students are able to stop by during their lunches and before school to take some time off from their academic studies to find a healthy distraction away from the stresses that can come with academics in the LEGO zone. So far, we have been able to complete 2 LEGO builds, including the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and the Star Wars Millennium Falcon that were donated through a previous Donors Choose grant. \r\n\r\nWe've used the display case as a place for the completed LEGO builds to be displayed so students can admire their work and also appreciate the intricate details in the LEGO builds without having to worry about other students accidentally breaking the sets. Students will talk to their friends about how they contributed to the build and show pride in the work that they've completed. This also draws a greater diversity of students who share different interests into the space, so they feel they have more ownership over the space, and feel like it is a place in the school where they can relax and unwind.
