I have used all of the flexible seating since the first day! Many of the materials are being shared with EC (Exceptional Children) teachers whose students I serve in the classroom. It is a powerful thing to be able to share success and support. Just last week I brought the tent to our classroom with the most sensory seeking students to share!\r\n\r\nThe cube chairs are especially useful for helping to optimize breath support for vocalizations. Prior to the Donor's Choose funding, many of my four year old's feet did not touch the ground! It is much harder to vocalize for talking when you have to use all of your core muscles just to sit. Happily, we all have our feet on the ground now.\r\n\r\nThe Gaiam ball chair is a favorite for many of my students. My students could not have been more excited and grateful when I surprised them with your donations! We've gotten to read through most of the read alouds that were included in the donation. I love how these read alouds taught them great lessons that we regularly refer back to. Their favorite was \"I have ants in my pants\"! The stools have been a great addition to my small group. The students are very excited to be able to sit on a fun stool during the day. My students love the calming corner and the additions that came from your donation. They regularly use this corner when they feel big emotions and need to step away from the class. The fidgets are a great way to help them self-regulate. They also LOVED the story \"The little spot of emotions\" and the fact that it came with little stuffed emotions. We refer back to them regularly and they help students identify the emotions they are feeling. I truly appreciate your generosity in creating this space for my students.
