This carpet has helped students understand personal space and staying in their own bubble. During Heggerty students do a fantastic job staying in their circle on the carpet to be able to participate without worrying about not having enough space. It creates transitioning to the carpet much easier as students know exactly where to sit right away and prevents arguing over how close someone might sit next to them. \r\n\r\nStudents were very excited when the carpet got delivered to the classroom. They were all happy saying \"Yay, we finally have a new rug!\" after having to sit directly on the school floor before. They were all excited to learn they would each get their own little circle on the carpet. Students get excited for new lessons at the carpet. For math we solve problems using white boards, and students are always happy to know they have enough space to sit and put their white board down on the carpet.","fullyFundedDate":1734894170200,"projectUrl":"project/one-rug-one-team/8779926/","projectTitle":"One Rug One Team!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9620619"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_3397","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":565,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":56,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.9,"schoolId":3397,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Knollwood Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Knollwood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/rowan-salisbury-school-system/knollwood-elementary-school/3397"}
