We've been using the materials daily to support regulation, movement breaks, and transitions. One of my favorite moments so far happened during our nonfiction reading block: a student who typically struggles to re-engage after lunch independently walked over to the pathway, completed a full sequence of jumps and wall pushes, and then returned to his small‑group station with a huge smile. It was such a clear example of how these tools empower students to take ownership of their learning and their bodies.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, the room absolutely buzzed. They pointed out their favorite colors, traced the shapes with their fingers, and immediately began modeling how they thought each movement should look. Several students asked, \"Can we do this every day?\" and the answer, thanks to you, is yes. The pathway has already become a predictable, calming routine that helps students reset and feel successful.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, the Sensory Pathway will play a key role in our current work on self‑regulation and stamina during independent tasks. Students are learning to identify when they need a break, choose the right tool, and return to learning with confidence. We'll also be integrating the pathway into our morning arrival routine and our co‑taught movement‑based literacy stations. Your support didn't just fund materials—it expanded what's possible for our learners each day.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for helping us build a classroom where every child feels supported, capable, and celebrated.","fullyFundedDate":1762267618257,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-pathway/9870948/","projectTitle":"Sensory Pathway","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Massie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10313894"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_84996","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":312,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":89.5,"schoolId":84996,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Madison - Plains Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Madison - Plains Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/madison-plains-local-school-district/madison-rural-elementary-school/84996"}
