The materials from this project helped me create flexible, engaging lessons that support communication growth across all areas.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generous donation from donors like you, I was able to use pens, tape, and paper to create individualized visual supports, data-tracking tools, and interactive learning materials. These resources are used daily to support articulation practice, build expressive and receptive language skills, target social communication through role-play and visuals, and support fluency through structured and engaging activities. Hands-on manipulatives allow students to learn through play, movement, and creativity, making therapy sessions more meaningful and accessible for every learner.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stood out was when students used newly created visuals and interactive materials during therapy activities. Students were eager to participate, excited to make choices, and proud to use materials that felt personalized just for them. When they first saw the supplies, many students were visibly excited and curious, asking what we would be making and how they could use them. That excitement translated into increased motivation, engagement, and confidence during therapy sessions.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these materials will continue to support ongoing lessons focused on building communication independence. Students will use visuals and interactive tools to practice skills they can carry over into the classroom and daily routines, such as requesting help, participating in conversations, and expressing their thoughts clearly. The flexibility of these resources ensures that therapy can continue to evolve alongside each student's progress. They are not having to \"provide\" those things for themselves, since that can be such a burden to some households. Being able to provide those necessities for them, takes pressure off of them and their families and it allows for a smooth day in my class because everyone has access to the materials that they need. \r\n\r\nThere were a few items that were directed towards me, like the box organizers. This is going to be so helpful when I am out on leave for myself and my sub. I have been able to organize everything that is needed in this organizer and it has made knowing what is done and what is not so much easier. I do believe it will also provide my sub with an easy and smooth transition into my classroom.\r\n\r\nHaving these items (what might seem basic to some) in my classroom has been a HUGE blessing and weight lifted! Students who once struggled to find their voice discovered new confidence behind the lens. They learned to see the world differently, paying attention to the small moments that make up our everyday lives.
