No more grinding pencil sharpener and more focused students.\r\n\r\nThank you for your donation! The impact is real and you have really made a difference in how my students learn! When my kids run out of lead, instead of going to the sharpener, they come to me for a new piece of lead (which they may freely take from the top of my desk). If their pencil wears out over time, I give them a new one and ask them to take good care of it. Each pencil lasts the students several weeks and lead usage is pretty minimal. It's a great system that works amazingly for my class and I thank you very much.","fullyFundedDate":1755960737717,"projectUrl":"project/pencil-sharpeners-grind-our-nerves/9633565/","projectTitle":"Pencil Sharpeners Grind our Nerves!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Herron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9474831"},{"teacherId":9474831,"projectId":8634064,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping fund my project! Having mechanical pencils for my students has helped keep my classroom quieter and more on-task. Not having kids lined up at the pencil sharpener and chatting while waiting for others to sharpen their pencil has been a game changer. It's also a lot less messy... I don't have to empty the pencil sharpener constantly and listen to the grinding noise all day, long of the sharpener. It sounds like a little thing, but it actually makes a really big difference. The kids are hard at work and not standing up and waiting in line for other students which gives them more time working and focusing on assignments..","fullyFundedDate":1723513174806,"projectUrl":"project/say-no-to-annoying-pencil-sharpeners/8634064/","projectTitle":"Say No to Annoying Pencil Sharpeners!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Herron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9474831"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87724","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":483,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":82,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":59.9,"schoolId":87724,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about La Pine Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"La Pine Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/bend-la-pine-school-district-1/lapine-elementary-school/87724"}
