These books have already become a favorite part of my students day! \r\n\r\nYour donation has truly transformed our writing block. My students are learning to notice what makes writing effective, to play with language, and to take pride in their own words. We have explored finding our place in the world and the importance of how together we can make something wonderful. We have also discussed little spot of belonging and crested name tags and presented them for all to say hello. It was a wonderful example of how saying someone's name and saying hello can make them feel welcomed. \r\n\r\nWe have currently moved on to teamwork, this concept is developing. Currently, students are working on creating scribble spot drawings individually. We are going to create a class collage to display what it looks like when we come together as individuals and work together to create something beautiful!","fullyFundedDate":1730733495415,"projectUrl":"project/as-k2-discovers-one-emotion-at-a-time/8891802/","projectTitle":"As K2 Discovers One Emotion at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kline","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9809804"},{"teacherId":9700716,"projectId":8715182,"letterContent":"With your donations our students were able to take their learning of different types of animals and their habitats into a physical project - each student created a bird using the modeling clay. The air dry clay is perfect for classroom use and is a fantastic consistency for the students to work with, challenging and building on their fine motor skills without the arduous experience that traditional clay would have been. While crafting their birds students made sure that they had the critical elements that all birds share: feathers, beaks, and wings. After crafting their birds students then painted their birds to personalize them, some opted for realistic appearances while others went more fantastical, but each creation is a work of art that we are proud of.
