Having a clean, structured environment made them feel proud of their space and more motivated to participate in both learning and daily routines.\r\n\r\nNext, we will be creating a new Ðǿմ«Ã½ project to bring in fresh arts and crafts materials as well as hands-on cooking supplies. These resources will allow our students to continue building creativity, independence, and real-world life skills. Arts and crafts help students express themselves and strengthen fine motor skills, while cooking projects teach measurement, sequencing, safety, and teamwork. By restocking essential items and adding new materials, we can make our lessons even more engaging and accessible for all learners.\r\n\r\nYour support helps us maintain a classroom environment where students feel confident, organized, and excited to learn every day.","fullyFundedDate":1760726463222,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-keeping-our-life-s/9808771/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success: Keeping Our Life Skills Classroom Organized","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roberson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9872769_orig.jpg?crop=997,997,x0,y109&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738448724333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jazmyn-roberson"},{"teacherId":9872769,"projectId":9808682,"letterContent":"Our students benefit tremendously from the breakfast snacks provided through this project. Every day, students ask for breakfast bars—especially those who arrive late during first or even third period. While some may view withholding food as a consequence for lateness, I believe students learn best when their basic needs are met. Giving them a quick breakfast option ensures they have the fuel their brain needs to focus, participate, and feel ready for the day.\r\n\r\nThis project has been a tremendous blessing to our classroom. Students were genuinely excited and grateful, and several families were so moved that they donated additional breakfast bars to help keep our supply going. The snacks created a warm, supportive classroom environment where students felt cared for and able to learn without hunger being a barrier.\r\n\r\nBecause the students enjoyed the snacks and we went through them quickly, I plan to create a new project to restock breakfast bars and add additional snacks for students who get hungry throughout the day. To keep things fair and sustainable, students are allowed to take a breakfast bar only if they missed breakfast. This project truly made a meaningful difference for our learners.","fullyFundedDate":1761917256061,"projectUrl":"project/breakfast-brain-boost-fuel-for-focus-an/9808682/","projectTitle":"Breakfast Brain Boost: Fuel for Focus and Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roberson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9872769_orig.jpg?crop=997,997,x0,y109&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738448724333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jazmyn-roberson"},{"teacherId":9872769,"projectId":9736770,"letterContent":"Thanks to the generous support from Ðǿմ«Ã½ donors, our Life Skills students now have their own personal maintenance bags filled with tools that help them feel clean, confident, and ready to learn every day. These hygiene kits have already made a tremendous difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nOne of our first activities was allowing students to decorate and personalize their hygiene bags with their names and artwork. This simple step helped them take ownership of their hygiene routines and feel proud of their kits. Students chose which items to include, creating bags that reflected their individual needs and comfort.\r\n\r\nThe items in the kits have been essential for our Personal Maintenance and Health lessons. The deodorant wipes, body wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss supported a full dental hygiene lesson where students practiced brushing their teeth and learned why caring for their mouth is important. These resources made the lesson hands-on and engaging, allowing students to connect the skills directly to real-life routines.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited when they first saw the materials. Many smiled, asked questions, and eagerly assembled their kits—showing how meaningful it was for them to have something of their own. For students who experience hygiene challenges or sensory needs, these bags created dignity, privacy, and comfort in the classroom.\r\n\r\nWe also included underwear and socks from previous Ðǿմ«Ã½ projects, so students have clean replacements in case of spills, menstrual accidents, or unexpected needs. Lip balm was another popular addition—helping all students feel comfortable and confident in their appearance.\r\n\r\nThe biggest ongoing impact is that these kits help students advocate for themselves daily. They now have a safe, discreet way to take care of personal needs without embarrassment, which increases their readiness to learn and participate in class.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include continued lessons on self-care, independence, and self-esteem. These hygiene kits have become a foundation for building lifelong skills—and our students are thriving because of your generosity.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students the opportunity to feel clean, confident, and cared for. Your support truly changes lives.","fullyFundedDate":1760720089801,"projectUrl":"project/confidence-care-personal-hygiene-kits/9736770/","projectTitle":"Confidence & Care: Personal Hygiene Kits for Life Skills Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roberson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9872769_orig.jpg?crop=997,997,x0,y109&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738448724333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jazmyn-roberson"},{"teacherId":9872769,"projectId":9146820,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom. Because of you, we've been able to meet not only the academic needs of our students, but also their physical, social, and emotional ones. Every supply you helped provide has already made a difference.\r\n\r\nStudents now use their new seat pockets to keep track of notebooks and assignments, giving them more independence and organization skills. Students are learning how to \"cash checks,\" budget with envelopes, and role-play real financial scenarios in a fun, safe way. We've also been able to meet basic needs by providing socks and underclothes to students who didn't have these essentials, which helped them feel more comfortable and cared for at school.\r\n\r\nThe joy on their faces was unforgettable when they first saw the materials. They were excited to try the rainbow calculators, test out their new pencils and erasers, and even explore creativity with Play-Doh and art supplies. Many couldn't believe that people outside our classroom cared to invest in their success.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donation, my students are growing in confidence, learning new life skills, and experiencing school in a way that feels supportive and full of possibility. Our next steps will include weaving these tools into building financial literacy units, so that each student continues to develop the tools they need for their future.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students.
