Your kindness and belief in our students has made a meaningful difference, and we are deeply grateful for your investment in their learning.\r\n\r\nThese iPads have expanded instructional possibilities for our second graders by supporting literacy development, personalized learning, and student engagement. With access to this technology, teachers are able to incorporate interactive reading activities, differentiated practice, and digital tools that help meet students where they are academically.\r\n\r\nAlthough I have since transitioned from my role at the school, I am confident that the second grade teachers are actively using these iPads as intended to support instruction and enhance student learning. The resources you provided will continue to benefit students well beyond my time in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for choosing to support our school and our students. The start of the school year was an exciting time, and when my students saw their personal Kindergarten folders and their pencil cases that were filled with brand new pencils and crayons they were even more excited.\r\n\r\nWhile all of the supplies that were donated have been an essential addition to our classroom, the POWMEE headphones have been game-changing for my students. Each day, students use their headphones to work on iReady, an online platform that gives students additional individualized instruction. In previous years, my students have had to use low quality headphones that were uncomfortable and did not have good sound quality. Now that my students have high quality headphones, they are able to work comfortably, hear the audio clearly, and remain focused on their iReady work.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation to my classroom project. The area rug provides comfort to students who choose to lie down or play in the calming corner. The rug is also easy to keep clean. The seat cushions are a class favorite! Students who need constant movement or feel uncomfortable in the metal chairs appreciate the seat cushions! The laminating sheets have been helpful in creating long-lasting mini anchor charts for constant reference of math vocabulary or strategies. \r\n\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw everything, they were surprised by the abundance of supplies in the classroom. The erasers, pencils, highlighters, and glue sticks in bulk eased the possible burden on families to buy materials for their scholars. The bulk items also allow easy sharing since no one is worried about their personal items being lost or destroyed.\r\n\r\nFor our next unit, we are learning more units of multiplication and division (6,7,8,9 and 0). The students will definitely enjoy the dry erase markers and other supplies when showcasing independent work. Because of your contributions, our classroom has been transformed into a space where students not only build stronger reading skills but also develop the confidence and emotional tools they need to thrive.\r\n\r\nWith the resources you helped provide, students now have access to engaging books at their reading level, hands-on literacy tools, and activities that connect reading with self-expression. I've already seen remarkable changes—children who once hesitated to read aloud are now eager to share their voices, and students are more willing to discuss their feelings and ideas.\r\n\r\nThis project has improved our classroom in ways that will have a lasting impact:\r\n\t•\tStronger literacy skills through differentiated reading materials.\r\n\t•\tImproved emotional awareness thanks to activities that link reading to real-life experiences.\r\n\t•\tA more supportive classroom culture where students feel safe to learn and grow.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made all the difference, and my students and I are deeply grateful for the doors you've opened for them. The chess boards you provided have truly inspired a love for the game in so many of my students. Multiple kids play every single day, and it's been so fun to watch them challenge each other, talk strategy, and even teach their classmates how to play. It's become a favorite activity in our classroom and is helping build focus, patience, and critical thinking skills.\r\n\r\nWe're also incredibly grateful for the beanbag chairs. They get used constantly for reading, small group work, station time, and sometimes just as a comfy spot for independent work. The students absolutely love them. Honestly, they might love them even more than the iPads. The chairs have helped create a cozy and welcoming classroom environment, and students are always excited to grab one and settle in.\r\n\r\nThe iPads have also been a huge help in our classroom and are used every day. They've become a great tool for differentiation. Some of my second graders are still learning letter sounds, while others are reading chapter books, and the iPads allow each student to work at their own level. We've even found new ways to use them that I hadn't originally planned for, which has been an added bonus.\r\n\r\nThank you again, Lowe's Hotel, for supporting our students and helping create a classroom where learning is engaging, fun, and comfortable. When it was first introduced, the calm down kit was rarely used as there were not many books and other resources my students could use to help them regulate their emotions. Now that our calm down kit has a plethora of student friendly self-regulation resources and fidgets, students are much more willing to ask for a break with the calm down kit when needed.\r\n\r\nWhile all of my students have benefited from the \"Calm Down Corner Starter Kit,\" some specific items that were donated have been especially beneficial to my students with autism. The noise cancelling ear muffs and sensory toys for autistic children have helped both of my students with autism self-soothe when they get overstimulated within the classroom. One of my students with autism has even learned to ask for his headphones and a slinky toy when it gets too loud or he needs a break! Thank you again for your donation to my classroom project.
