Our donation goal was reached and I have received the Lego Spike Prime Robot kit. This was my first Donors Choose project and it was very exciting for me. When my school secretary called me and explained that I had a Lego package waiting in the office, I was shocked it had arrived so soon. I immediately took the package back to our STEAM room and opened the box. I started charging the hub (computer) to ensure that the battery lasts longer. I couldn't wait for the next morning when my first period class walks in and to see them use this kit for the first time.\r\nThe next morning, my first period, 8th grade class, was short one Lego Spike Kit. I handed the new kit to two of my students and told them that they were now a new group and did not have to work with another larger group. This meant that these two students can actually do the work of building the robot and program it. They did not have to just sit and watch other students do the work and wait for their turn to build or program. This new kit made a giant difference to these two students and makes the whole class run soo much smoother.","fullyFundedDate":1758031117732,"projectUrl":"project/steam-lego-spike-prime-set-of-robotics-f/9694579/","projectTitle":"STEAM LEGO Spike Prime Set of Robotics for Our Steam Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Tagg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8165084_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y368&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757274366875","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8165084"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63701","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":387,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":34,"percentWhite":22,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.0,"schoolId":63701,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pittsburgh South Hills School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Pittsburgh South Hills School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/pittsburgh-public-schools/pittsburgh-south-hills-school/63701"}
