My students have been able to take more responsibility for their learning as artists because of your donations. The materials your donations provided for made the art room more organized and accessible for all learners, thank you!\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see how our materials like crayons and markers were newly organized in the room through the stacker boxes. This might seem like a small thing, but in the art room organization is everything. This one organizational tool made it possible for all students from 2nd to 5th grade to take care of the art room, know where materials were housed and safely bring them to and from their seats when needed. My goal is always for students to take ownership over their art learning and this is one way they are doing that, thanks to you!\r\n\r\nThe big hit was a rug in the room. Each class that came in gave an audible 'ooohhh WOW' when they saw the rug at the front of the room. Previously students only had one space to sit; their desks. Now students who are early finishers can read a book (that was also donated to the room!) with a friend on the rug, and engage new ways of learning in the art room this way.\r\n\r\nThank you again, your contribution made the art room a more successful place, and my first year here at Scenic Hills one that I feel serves all my students the best.","fullyFundedDate":1732632802967,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-basics-art-class-edition/8601103/","projectTitle":"Back to Basics Art Class Edition","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barnes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7503188_orig.png?crop=846,846,x118,y115&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723686902404","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7503188"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_89642","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":675,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":83,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"2 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":40.0,"schoolId":89642,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Scenic Hills Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Scenic Hills Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/springfield-school-district/scenic-hills-elementary-school/89642"}
