This school year is moving quickly and so are the students. With your help the students now have avenues that only their imaginations can limit. The Arduino kits and Raspberry Pi micro computers are in full use and in a variety of different applications.\r\n\r\nThere are several students that are new to programming and robotics and are walking through a self-paced tutorial program for the Arduino kits. They are learning the basics of programming and how it relates to operating lights, motors, and sounds. Others are learning how to deploy the Arduinos to larger projects and exploring their capabilities, a few students are learning to program multiple servos to behave all at once. \r\n\r\nThe Raspberry Pi's are being used on many different levels as well. They are all being used to explore the Python programming language. One student is learning how encryption works, while another is creating a Guess My Number game. Two students have started using the Raspberry Pi to program the Lego Mindstorm Robots with Python. \r\n\r\nThe project has given the students the opportunity to explore at their pace and challenge themselves at the appropriate level. We are currently talking with administration about building this idea of exploration as into other classrooms and finding ways to give more students similar opportunities.","fullyFundedDate":1758902781669,"projectUrl":"project/and-for-dessert-raspberry-pi-a-la-ardui/9718695/","projectTitle":"And for Dessert, Raspberry Pi A la Arduino","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Campagna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10264572"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_90153","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":288,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":94,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":90.0,"schoolId":90153,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wilmington Area High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Wilmington Area High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/wilmington-area-school-district/wilmington-area-high-school/90153"}
