The supplies you provided are already helping students learn in practical ways. The surge protectors allow us to safely run multiple microscopes at the same time so more students can see microscopic life! They loved looking at salt crystals, plant cells, animal cells, and finding life in pond water!. The glow sticks were useful for demonstrating heat transfer in a simple, visual way! The laminating pouches help me protect charts and materials that students use all year. The Kleenex also gets used daily and hopefully helps keep some germs away!\r\n\r\nThe rock tumbler has been the most exciting item for students. It gives them a clear, real example of weathering and how rocks change over time. It helps them see how weathering changes the Earth's surface and connects what they see to our Earth science lessons. It has made a process that is usually hard to picture much easier for them to understand.\r\n\r\nI have especially noticed some quieter students engaging more during microscope work. Hands on tools give them a way to participate, be more engaged, and stay involved in learning.
