Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide our students with four high-top tables that offer both group and individual seating options, comfortable seat cushions for our tables and chairs, three yoga ball chairs, and a weighted sloth.\r\n\r\nThese additions have truly transformed our classroom environment. The flexible seating allows every student to find a space where they feel comfortable and ready to engage, promoting collaboration, focus, and inclusion. The weighted sloth has been a wonderful calming tool for those who need a little extra comfort during the day, and he has become quite the ELA student!\r\n\r\nYour kindness and support are helping us create a welcoming space where every voice can be heard and every student can thrive. I am so grateful for your belief in the importance of inclusive education and for making this project possible.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart for investing in our students' learning and well-being. Our students are using these materials to craft their very own smashbooks, where they combine writing, drawing, photos, and personal reflections into unique, meaningful keepsakes.\r\n\r\nOne special moment was when students shared their first completed pages with the class. Their faces lit up as they proudly showed off their work—each smashbook bursting with personality and creativity. It was inspiring to see how these materials helped them express their thoughts and stories in new ways.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the supplies, the excitement was contagious! Many jumped right in, eager to experiment with colors, textures, and layouts, making learning feel fun and personal. These smashbooks will become a powerful tool for self-expression and growth throughout the year.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly opened up new creative pathways for our students, and we're so grateful to have you alongside us on this journey. Thanks to your support, we are able to provide our students with essential clothing, school supplies, personal care items, and food. The impact of these resources has been profound.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the reaction from our students was immediate and heartwarming. Their faces lit up as they discovered the abundance of resources available to them. For many, having access to these essential items means they can come to school feeling confident and ready to engage in their learning. I recently witnessed a moment during a project in our Occupational Partnerships for Tomorrow (OPT) class where the Mercantile provided for students who were recently homeless and for several students who were suffering economic hardships. Not only did they benefit from the materials, but they also gained valuable leadership and organizational skills as they worked together to manage the store and assist their peers. It was incredible to see how this initiative has fostered a sense of responsibility, empathy, and inclusion within our school community.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our students are using the resources from the Monarch Mercantile to fuel their ongoing projects, which directly support their academic and personal growth. In the coming school year (as we did with this school year), we will continue integrating the Mercantile into our curriculum, using it as both a learning tool and a means of reinforcing positive behavior through our PBIS program. Students are excited to take on more leadership roles and have the confidence to do so. As these students start to take more of an active role in the Merc, we know the skills and experiences they gain will empower them far beyond the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1741870600037,"projectUrl":"project/the-monarch-mercantile-mission/9143249/","projectTitle":"The Monarch Mercantile Mission","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McCoy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4341141_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524441293776","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4341141"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28150","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":741,"numTeachers":49,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":67,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":57.3,"schoolId":28150,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Manning High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Manning High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/clarendon-school-district-two/manning-high-school/28150"}
