The students have been beyond excited as we received our new flexible seating. Their learning has been impacted in the best ways. \r\n\r\nThe cushions have been a game changer because EVERY student got the luxury of receiving one regardless of what kind of seat they sit in. My students who sit in rockers use it to cushion the seat to their level of comfort. My students who sit in the traditional desk chairs were ecstatic to receive something to soften their seat. \r\n\r\nSince receiving our project materials, I have noticed a shift in their focus level. They seem to be much more focused while rocking in their chairs or softening their seat. Moving forward to the end of the year, my plan is to continue utilizing these flexible seating options. I'm glad my students will have these comfortable seats as they complete their state testing in May.\r\n\r\nAgain, I can't thank all of you enough for making this project come to life for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1735507110822,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-to-help-us-learn/8780328/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating to Help Us Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eddins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5635443_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596499978277","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5635443"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6096","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":512,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"19.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":69.7,"schoolId":6096,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kershaw Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Kershaw Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/lancaster-county-school-district/kershaw-elementary-school/6096"}
