Because of your generosity, our students now have access to hands-on materials that are already transforming the way they play, learn, and connect with one another during recess.\r\n\r\nRecess is often seen as a simple break in the day—but in our classroom, it is so much more. It is a time for students to practice problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and emotional regulation. With these new manipulatives, our students have meaningful opportunities to build, design, experiment, and collaborate in ways that strengthen both their academic and social skills.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on their faces when the materials arrived was unforgettable. Students immediately began exploring the different pieces, working together to create structures, invent games, and challenge each other's thinking. Instead of feeling limited by rainy days or indoor schedules, they now look forward to inside recess with enthusiasm and imagination.\r\n\r\nThese manipulatives are doing more than keeping hands busy—they are building confidence. Students who may struggle during unstructured time are now finding success and leadership opportunities. Some are discovering a talent for engineering and design. Others are learning how to share ideas, compromise, and persevere when their creations don't go as planned. Every day, we see communication skills growing alongside towers, patterns, and imaginative builds.\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, I am deeply grateful. Resources like these enhance not only recess, but the overall classroom community. Students return from break refreshed, proud of what they created, and ready to learn. The positive energy carries into our academic time, strengthening focus and motivation throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom, in creativity, and most importantly, in our students. Because of your kindness, my kindergarten classroom received an incredible set of resources from Hand2Mind that have already made a meaningful and lasting impact on my students' learning, engagement, and confidence.\r\n\r\nAs a kindergarten teacher, I believe that learning should be hands-on, joyful, and full of opportunities for young minds to explore, build, and grow. The Hand2Mind resources you helped fund have brought that vision to life in new and exciting ways.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the materials arrived, my students were captivated. The math manipulatives—such as counting bears, number rods, pattern blocks, and linking cubes—have transformed how we approach math lessons. Instead of abstract concepts, my students now physically build numbers, explore patterns, and solve problems in tangible, meaningful ways. For many of them, this was the first time math truly clicked—and it was incredible to watch.\r\n\r\nOne of the standout resources was the fine motor tools and literacy centers. These gave my students the chance to build their fine motor skills while also reinforcing foundational literacy concepts like letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and early writing skills. These tools made learning interactive and fun, helping even my most hesitant learners feel successful and excited about participating.\r\n\r\nI've seen firsthand how these materials support different learning styles. Some of my students are visual learners, others are kinesthetic, and still others thrive with auditory cues. Hand2Mind's multisensory resources offered something for everyone. Students who used to struggle to stay focused are now engaged for longer periods of time. Quiet students who were once hesitant to participate are more confident and eager to share their ideas. I've watched teamwork blossom as children collaborate, explain their thinking, and encourage each other during centers and small group activities.\r\n\r\nPerhaps the most heartwarming impact is the pride I see in their eyes when they \"get it\"—when they count all the way to 100 using the number grid, when they build a letter out of tactile materials, or when they confidently complete a pattern with no help. These moments are priceless, and they are a direct result of the resources you provided.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide tools—it created opportunities. Opportunities for growth, for confidence-building, and for joyful learning. You've empowered 5- and 6-year-olds to take charge of their education in a way that will resonate far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom, in our students, and in the power of hands-on learning. Your generosity is making a real difference, one child at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1725027202009,"projectUrl":"project/hand2mind-resources-for-the-classroom/8512270/","projectTitle":"Hand2Mind Resources for the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Anderson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8645238_orig.jpg?crop=1920,1920,x0,y211&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765378912630","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8645238"},{"teacherId":4962635,"projectId":9461538,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our project!\r\nWe love browsing through our classroom library, and having the book covers visible makes it so much easier to find the perfect story to read and enjoy.\r\n\r\nOur new dry erase boards have also been a big hit; one side is blank for drawing and problem-solving, while the other has dotted lines that help us practice writing our letters neatly within the lines.\r\n\r\nAnd of course, we've really appreciated the snacks for the days when someone forgets theirs.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your support and kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1755095123105,"projectUrl":"project/books-boards-brighter-days/9461538/","projectTitle":"Books, Boards & Brighter Days","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4962635_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510194280927","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4962635"},{"teacherId":8431080,"projectId":7568546,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our project!
