When the adaptive equipment arrived and I introduced it to my classes, the excitement was immediate. Students who used to hang back or needed support were jumping right in. The cheers from classmates were genuine and loud, not because I prompted them, but because they were proud of their classmates. As a teacher and coach, those are the moments you hope for.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the equipment during our cooperative games unit, setting up stations that let every student participate at their own level while still adding to a team. Instead of sitting out or feeling frustrated, my students with disabilities are fully engaged, throwing, aiming, passing, and moving with their peers. One student told me, \"I finally get to play with everyone!\" and their smile said it all. Even more meaningful has been watching the rest of the class naturally adapt, encourage, and support one another. The sense of teamwork in our gym has grown tremendously.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we're building on this energy. Students are setting personal fitness and skill goals, and we're working together as a class to design inclusive games. My goal has always been to create a space where all learners are capable and valued, and your support has helped make that happen. Thank you for helping my students experience success, confidence, and true inclusion in physical education.","fullyFundedDate":1762871009713,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-inclusion-access-equipment-f/9460388/","projectTitle":"Empowering Inclusion: Access Equipment for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Tubbs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10077942_orig.jpg?crop=3041,3041,x1028,y842&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752362618779","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10077942"},{"teacherId":10077942,"projectId":9460363,"letterContent":"I have to say, adding 9 Square to our gym has been a lot of fun. On the first day, kids were already lining up to be the first to play. As soon as we started, the gym filled with cheering, laughter, and lots of movement. What stood out most was seeing some students who usually stay on the sidelines in PE join in and actually want a turn. When they did, their classmates supported them.\r\n\r\nWe use it during stations and on days focused on teamwork and coordination, but honestly, it's become one of the activities the kids always ask for. It keeps everyone involved. No one stands around for long, and the game moves quickly enough to keep kids interested. I've already seen confidence grow, especially in students who don't usually think of themselves as \"athletic.\"\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students something that gets them excited to move and participate. It's made a considerable difference in our gym.","fullyFundedDate":1762871876253,"projectUrl":"project/airborne-energy-a-new-game-for-every-st/9460363/","projectTitle":"Airborne Energy: A New Game for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Tubbs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10077942_orig.jpg?crop=3041,3041,x1028,y842&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752362618779","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10077942"},{"teacherId":10036283,"projectId":9668393,"letterContent":"I wanted to take the time to all of the donors that chose to support my project of Safe Space. Thanks to your generosity, my students are actively using these new resources every day to support their learning and independence. We have been incorporating them into small-group instruction, hands-on learning centers, and individualized practice tied directly to student goals. One moment that truly stood out was during a math lesson when a student who often struggles to stay engaged was able to independently complete a task using the new materials—something that previously required adult support. Seeing that confidence grow was incredibly meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were filled with excitement and curiosity. Many immediately wanted to explore how the resources worked and asked when they could start using them. For my learners, especially those with special needs, having tools that are visually engaging and easy to manipulate makes a huge difference. The materials helped reduce frustration and increased participation, allowing students to feel successful and motivated.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our next steps include continuing to build foundational skills through structured, hands-on lessons while encouraging students to explain their thinking and reflect on their learning. These resources will be used throughout the year to reinforce key concepts, support IEP goals, and promote independence. Your generosity has created lasting opportunities for growth, confidence, and success in our classroom, and we are so grateful for the impact you've made.","fullyFundedDate":1764872972903,"projectUrl":"project/safe-space/9668393/","projectTitle":"Safe Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Long","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10036283_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747255793816","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10036283"},{"teacherId":5427404,"projectId":8829343,"letterContent":"How amazing this gift was!
