I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation to our classroom's birthday supplies. Your support has truly made a difference, and I can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contribution, our students will now be able to celebrate their birthdays in a way that makes them feel special and valued. From birthday hats and decorations to fun party games, the supplies you've provided will not only brighten their day but also help build a sense of community and belonging in our classroom.\r\n\r\nIt's not just about the supplies—it's about what those moments mean to the students. Birthdays are a time for them to feel celebrated, and thanks to your kindness, we can give them that experience. Your donation is an example of how small acts of generosity can have a big impact on young lives.\r\n\r\nEvery time we celebrate a birthday in our classroom, it will be a reminder of the incredible people, like you, who care about making our school a place where kids feel supported and inspired.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this possible. How are you and your students using the new resources? Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\n\r\nMy students and I have been using the new resources in ways that have already transformed our daily routines and learning experiences. One of the biggest improvements has come from the Classic Birch 8 Cubby Storage Unit and the Clear View Bins. With these, students can now manage their own math and literacy centers with much more independence.\r\n\r\nA favorite moment happened during our math workshop last week. Using the Magnetic Tiles along with the Number Bonds Magnetic Set and the Write and Wipe Number Bond Boards, students worked in small groups to create number stories. They used the magnetic tiles to build simple scenes like a park or a zoo and then created addition or subtraction number bonds that matched their scenes. One group built a jungle scene on the Alphabet Jungle School Rug and proudly explained, \"There are 4 animals on this side and 6 on this side, together that makes 10!\" It was a joyful blend of creativity and math reasoning.\r\n\r\n2. How did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n\r\nThe students were immediately excited. They explored every bin and cubby with curiosity and could not wait to try the magnetic tiles and number materials. Many of them asked if they could start building right away. The Indoor Outdoor Floor Seats were an instant favorite, and several students chose them during independent reading that same day. Their reactions showed just how special these new materials felt to them, and they were eager to dive in and learn.\r\n\r\n3. Your donors got a little peek into your classroom by contributing to your project, and we know that they would love to learn more. What are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to use these materials to deepen our number sense work. Students will continue building number stories, but now we will expand into composing and decomposing larger numbers and creating simple math problems for their classmates to solve. We are also using the Astrobrights colored cardstock to create student made math cards and sorting mats that will become part of our permanent math centers. As students grow more confident, they will begin leading small group activities and explaining their math thinking to peers. These resources will support them every step of the way.","fullyFundedDate":1757527440594,"projectUrl":"project/journey-to-the-jungle-a-safari-learning/9480536/","projectTitle":"Journey to the Jungle: A Safari Learning Quest","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fuentes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6622848_orig.jpg?crop=100,100,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740169118301","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6622848"},{"teacherId":8672742,"projectId":9574738,"letterContent":"My students were so excited to see the new write and wipe table!! I wanted to share some details about how these materials have transformed our classroom and helped my students grow.\r\n\r\n\r\nThese materials have been pivotal in moving my students from abstract concepts to applied skills. The Ozobot color code magnets and the Ocean and Missions to Mars mats are not just teaching coding; they are teaching computational thinking. Students are learning to break down complex problems (like \"get the rover to the crater\") into small, logical steps. The most valuable part has been seeing them learn to debug. When the Ozobot doesn't do what they want, they don't give up. They huddle together, review their color-code \"program,\" and find the error. This is critical thinking in its most practical form.\r\n\r\nSimilarly, the Kinazium construction sets have unlocked a new world of creativity and engineering. We've been able to implement the full engineering design process: students brainstorm a solution, sketch a prototype, build it, and then test it. More often than not, their first design has flaws, and this is where the real learning begins. They learn to analyze why it failed and then iterate on their design. They are learning resilience, spatial reasoning, and how to turn a creative idea into a functional structure.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for me, as a teacher, is the level of engagement. The classroom is filled with a productive \"buzz\" of collaboration; however, the true magic is in the \"a-ha!\" moments. It's the cheer that erupts when a team finally gets their Ozobot through the entire Mars mission successfully. You have helped shift my students from being passive consumers of technology to active, confident creators.\r\n\r\nWhile all my students have benefited, there are a few who have truly blossomed. I have one student who is often very quiet and hesitant to share her ideas in whole-group discussions. However, with the Kinazium sets, she has become a \"lead architect.\" She has a brilliant mind for spatial design, and I've watched her confidently sketch out a plan and explain to her teammates why her idea for a support structure will work. She has found her voice and a place to shine as a leader.\r\n\r\nAnother student has always struggled with abstract, multi-step directions. The Ozobots have been a revelation for him. Seeing his color-coded line on paper translate into a physical action from the robot has made the concept of \"programming\" click. He is now one of my most meticulous \"debuggers\" because he can so clearly see the cause and effect of his work.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made these specific, individual moments of growth possible. Thank you for providing the tools that allow all my students to discover new strengths and develop a genuine passion for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1755730351314,"projectUrl":"project/code-to-conquer-empowering-young-proble/9282455/","projectTitle":"Code to Conquer: Empowering Young Problem Solvers Through Robotics","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jobe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9520994_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753558494350","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dcjobe25"},{"teacherId":10052890,"projectId":9404613,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in helping our classroom receive a brand-new rug!
