Because of your generosity, my students—many of whom had never touched a printmaking tool before—got the chance to explore, create, and surprise themselves with what they could do.\r\n\r\nIn our small, rural school, art budgets rarely stretch beyond basic supplies. Printmaking was always out of reach, something I could only talk about but never really teach. But this fall, with your help, my students got to roll up their sleeves and dive in for real. They used Legos to make prints—yes, turning a favorite toy into an art tool! It was so much fun watching them realize a familiar object could leave such interesting marks on paper. For some students who aren't as confident drawing or painting, printmaking was a fresh start—a way to express themselves and find success.\r\n\r\nWhat stood out most was their curiosity. Every time I introduced a new technique—whether it was monoprinting, intaglio, or screen printing—they crowded around, eager to see how it all worked. I loved watching their problem-solving skills grow as they figured out how much pressure to use, how to fix a mistake, or what effect a different material might make. No computers, no screens—just hands-on learning, and the satisfaction of seeing their own work come to life.\r\n\r\nAnd we're not done yet! In January, we'll use our new skills (and new materials, thanks to you!) to make a snowy cityscape print—a perfect project for winter in our corner of the world.\r\n\r\nYour support sent a clear message to my students: their creativity matters, and it deserves real investment.
