Thanks to the generosity of donors through Ðǿմ«Ã½, we now have tools that truly meet those needs.\r\n\r\nThe weighted blankets and sensory socks are already helping students regulate during busy transitions and whole-group activities. This will enhance our unit study by giving students opportunities to work together to build puzzles and provide great visual and team work skills. As an ECSE teacher working with children ages 3 to 5, many of whom have sensory needs and fine motor challenges, it was powerful to see them interact with tools designed just for them. The crawling tunnels, bounce chair, and rock-around quickly became favorite sensory supports, helping students regulate their energy and emotions during learning time.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the craft trays, storage bins, and adaptive scissors to increase student independence during activities. The triangular pencils, egg crayons, and dot markers have made fine motor tasks more accessible, while the Three Little Pigs puzzle and storytelling puppets helped students practice retelling and expressive communication. One student, typically hesitant with art, completed an entire project using the new materials—something that brought real pride and joy to both student and teacher.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, our classroom is more inclusive, organized, and responsive to student needs. These resources help us create meaningful routines and engaging lessons every day. Your donation reminded my students that they are seen, valued, and deserving of a high-quality learning environment—and for that, we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1738786630595,"projectUrl":"project/these-ecse-student-need-you/8942056/","projectTitle":"These ECSE Student Need You!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ibe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9835636_orig.jpg?crop=889,889,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731529751975","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsibe"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133941","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":550,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":86.3,"schoolId":133941,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dorothy Martinez Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Dorothy Martinez Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/denton-independent-school-district/dorothy-martinez-elementary-school/133941"}
