Because of your kindness, my fifth-grade students now have access to science lab kits, science books, a classroom carpet, pencils, sharpeners, and erasable boards that have transformed our daily learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe science lab kits and science books have allowed my students to engage in hands-on investigations that bring science concepts to life. Instead of only reading about science, students are now able to explore, experiment, and observe real-world connections. This has increased their curiosity, critical thinking, and excitement for learning science. Many of my students are bilingual learners, and having visual and hands-on materials has helped them better understand academic vocabulary and complex concepts.\r\n\r\nThe carpet has created a comfortable and welcoming space where students can gather for small-group lessons, discussions, and collaborative learning. This has strengthened our classroom community and allowed students to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe pencils, sharpeners, and eraser boards are essential tools that students use every day. These materials help students practice their skills, solve problems, and participate actively in lessons. The erase boards, especially, have increased engagement because students can quickly share their thinking and receive immediate feedback.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are more confident, motivated, and excited to come to school. You have provided them with tools that support their academic growth and help prepare them for future success. Your support has made a lasting impact on their education and has shown them that people care about their learning and their future.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you for making a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758562737767,"projectUrl":"project/building-future-scientist/9408120/","projectTitle":"Building Future Scientist","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10054230"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_11301","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":577,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":42.5,"schoolId":11301,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dr Nixon Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Dr Nixon Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/el-paso-independent-school-district/dr-nixon-elementary-school/11301"}
