They love choosing a character, placing it on the box, and hearing the story instantly begin. It feels special and empowering for them to control their own listening experience. I have seen students who typically struggle to sit through a traditional read aloud become fully engaged with the Tonies. One of my quieter learners now confidently retells stories after listening, and another student who needs movement and sensory support is able to focus longer while listening at the center.\r\n\r\nThis technology has allowed me to provide differentiated literacy experiences while promoting independence and responsibility. Students are practicing important early literacy skills in a joyful and meaningful way.
