I provided what I could (notebooks, glue, scissors, index cards, colored pencils) and reached out to parents/guardians with supply lists. However, many of my students were still missing the basics: pens and pencils! \r\n My students this year have shown me time and time again that they want to learn. My students can now fully show up to learn everyday knowing that, when they come to my class, there will always be a pencil, highlighter, and pens. \r\n Thanks to the headphones, my students are able to listen to instructional videos without feeling ashamed of needing extra help. \r\n Since receiving the supplies, my students' confidence, content knowledge, and scores have improved. The overall class participation was, undoubtably, positively impacted by the fact the kids will always have access to necessary educational supplies in my class. \r\n\r\n(P.S. The middle schoolers have been taking care of the pencils! They're returned at the end of class, sharpened and with the erasers still intact.)","fullyFundedDate":1757352907568,"projectUrl":"project/middle-school-and-beyond/9682857/","projectTitle":"Middle School and Beyond","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9656953"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16609","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":388,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":43.6,"schoolId":16609,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about E.M.
