My students and I have already started using these new resources, and they have made a tremendous impact on engagement and hands-on learning. This week, students worked in collaborative lab groups to model chemical bonding and create visual examples using the new materials. The additional sets of scissors and lab supplies have allowed every student to participate without waiting to share limited materials, which has made our learning time much more meaningful and efficient.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw everything unpacked, they were genuinely excited—several immediately asked, \"Are we doing a project today?\" Many of my students learn best through movement, building, and visual models, so having real tools in front of them truly changes their learning experience. The room actually got louder from excitement, and I loved watching students explore everything and ask questions even before the lesson began.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will be using these resources during our upcoming unit project, where they will design and test models connected to real-world science applications. These materials will continue to support lab activities, collaborative group work, and creative problem-solving throughout the year. Thank you again for investing in my students—you have helped create a learning environment where curiosity and hands-on exploration can thrive every day.","fullyFundedDate":1764637342040,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials/9541177/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Staiano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10113721"},{"teacherId":10041151,"projectId":9371849,"letterContent":"When our new arts and crafts supplies arrived, my students were so excited—they couldn't wait to dive in! We've already put the markers, colored pencils, scissors, and glue to great use in projects like designing posters and creating colorful versions of the periodic table. One special moment was watching students light up as they compared their unique designs, proudly showing off how they personalized their work while still mastering the science content.\r\n\r\nThese supplies have made our lessons more hands-on and engaging, helping students connect creativity with learning. Our next step is to continue using the materials for interactive projects that reinforce key concepts in chemistry—like making models and group presentations that allow students to showcase their understanding in creative ways.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has brought more color and energy into our classroom, and my students and I are so grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1750773729561,"projectUrl":"project/msas-classroom-essentials/9371849/","projectTitle":"Ms.A’s Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10041151"},{"teacherId":9853502,"projectId":8985101,"letterContent":"On behalf of our golf athletes, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of the Golf Hitting Mat - Swing Path, Callaway Golf Supersoft Golf Balls, Nitro High-Durability Golf Balls, Golf Tee Tees, Plastic Golf Balls, and hand warmers. Your generosity has provided them with essential tools to refine their skills and enhance their practice sessions, especially as they continue working toward excellence in the sport.\r\n\r\nThese items will make a significant impact on their training. The hitting mat allows them to focus on swing path and consistency, while the variety of golf balls ensures they have the right equipment for different practice scenarios. The tees and plastic golf balls offer flexibility for drills, and the hand warmers will be handy during colder practice days, ensuring they can stay comfortable and focused. Your support has given them the resources needed to elevate their game and continue striving for success on and off the course.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your kindness and support of our golf athletes. Your generosity provides them with valuable equipment and reinforces the importance of dedication and hard work. Knowing that others believe in their potential motivates them even more. The items were originally placed in my classroom to calm students with emotional disabilities. They are being used for that and for my 12th-grade students. The students come inside the classroom and sit in the calming corner to relax and decompress from the journey of life. They talk to me and express their concerns about everyday life. Others need a brief break from the hectic weekend. Either way, the calming chairs have played a pivotal role in their socialization, behaviors, and the stressful of the school day,\r\n\r\nThey were so excited to see the added tools to the classroom. They enjoyed bringing the items from the front of the office to our classroom. The boxes were large but lightweight and four students did a test run once they were extracted from the cardboard boxes. The students really enjoy a place to calm down when they are stressed.\r\n\r\nThe next step for my students in the classroom lesson is to have them do a visual that can be used when they are in the calming corner. They have to draw the cocoa cup and visualize the texture, taste, and color of the drink. This can be useful as a calming technique. It takes a few minutes to draw and the students can carry this index-size card with them to other classes for calming purposes. Thank you so much.","fullyFundedDate":1727648587728,"projectUrl":"project/calming-strategies-for-high-achievement/8832383/","projectTitle":"Calming Strategies for High Achievement","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Marbley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7643994_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660092088719","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7643994"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_96186","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2328,"numTeachers":139,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":59,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":61.1,"schoolId":96186,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Goose Creek Memorial High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Goose Creek Memorial High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/goose-creek-consolidated-independent-school-district/goose-creek-memorial-high-school/96186"}
