For many of my students, hands-on science experiences are rare due to limited school resources and financial constraints at home. This project transformed our classroom into a real-world science lab and gave students the opportunity to become scientists.\r\nDissecting owl pellets allowed students to engage in authentic, inquiry-based learning. Instead of simply reading about food chains and ecosystems in a textbook, they were able to physically examine bones, identify prey species, and reconstruct skeletons. This hands-on experience deepened their understanding of predator-prey relationships, food webs, and animal adaptations in a way that worksheets and videos simply cannot replicate.\r\nBeyond the science content, the project sparked curiosity and excitement. Students who often struggle academically were fully engaged and eager to participate. They collaborated, asked thoughtful questions, recorded observations, and used critical thinking skills to draw conclusions based on evidence. The experience built confidence, strengthened teamwork, and encouraged a genuine love of learning.\r\nMost importantly, this donation helped level the playing field. It provided my students—many of whom may not have access to enrichment opportunities outside of school—with an unforgettable STEM experience. Your generosity did more than supply classroom materials; it created meaningful learning moments that my students will remember for years to come.\r\nThank you for investing in their education and for making high-quality, hands-on science possible in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1769177471364,"projectUrl":"project/whooooos-learning/9885639/","projectTitle":"Whooooos Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clough","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp6112737_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1543772499809","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6112737"},{"teacherId":10012865,"projectId":9316688,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom!
