Your gifts of fidgets, pencils, and comfortable chairs helped us create a calming corner in our classroom, and it has already made a meaningful difference for my students. Having a dedicated space designed for comfort and focus shows students that their well-being matters and that our classroom is a place where they can feel supported while learning.\r\n\r\n My students are using the calming corner as a short reset space when they need a moment to refocus or manage stress. The fidgets help keep their hands busy so they can settle their minds, the pencils ensure they are always ready to return to their work, and the comfy chairs give them a relaxing place to regroup. After spending a few minutes there, students are able to come back to class activities feeling calmer, more focused, and ready to participate. Your generosity is helping us build a classroom environment that supports both learning and emotional well-being, and we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1769192070621,"projectUrl":"project/a-calm-and-comfy-corner-for-focus-and-le/9773239/","projectTitle":"A Calm and Comfy Corner for Focus and Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10293699"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_24727","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":866,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":24727,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dr James P Terry Middle School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Dr James P Terry Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/mesquite-independent-school-district/dr-james-p-terry-middle-school/24727"}
