Because of your kindness, our students now have access to items such as underwear, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hair detangler — everyday necessities that make a meaningful difference in their comfort, confidence, and ability to focus on learning.\r\n\r\nWe are using these new resources as part of our daily living skills instruction and self-care routines. Many of our students are actively working on independence goals, and these supplies allow us to teach and practice real-world skills in a supportive and respectful way. Recently, during a morning routine lesson, students practiced brushing their teeth and grooming with step-by-step guidance. One student who is usually hesitant was proud to complete the routine with minimal support and even asked to show what they learned — it was a wonderful moment of growth and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were excited and curious. They loved seeing items that were just their size and easy for them to use. Having personal supplies helped them feel important and cared for, and several students immediately wanted to organize and help put items away. That sense of ownership and pride was truly special to witness.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building independence through structured self-care and daily living lessons. We are expanding our life skills routines to include personal hygiene, dressing skills, and organization, helping students build habits they can use both at school and at home. Your support directly strengthens these lessons and gives our students the tools they need to succeed beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students and showing them that their needs matter.
