We have phonics time in the morning and it has been so great to have my students sit in the carpet during this time. They love it! I have also used the bean bags as an incentive that they can use them during technology time if they behave. The carpet allows me to teach them all together in one group without any distractions so it has been great. The kids really look forward to carpet time because it has them moving and sitting else where instead of their desk. It has increased their engagement during lessons. When we got our carpet I waited for the students to walk in the morning so they could unbox it with me, they were so happy and so thankful. When we got the carpet, it was actually kindness week so I told them how it was really kind and it inspired them to do different acts of kindness to those around them.
